G.I. Joe & Lillie, a story about the American principles . . .

“The key word here is faith.”

I believe that every life has a story and every story is important.
I have found that people enjoy a true-life family story for many reasons.

On many levels, we are all a bit voyeuristic. Hanging out in
someone else’s house and watching them live their lives is always a bit exhilarating.

Whatever the reason, we all like to compare other folks’ lives with
our own. That is probably why reality TV shows and behind-the-scene
magazines are so popular. I know that I have been hooked on the
Biography Channel since its inception for many of these same reasons.

We also live in a new day and age in which many of America’s
past principles and treasured ideals have been sadly diminished. It is my
prayer that the story of GI Joe & Lillie will be more of an inspiration than
just a peek into someone else’s life.

The good soldier who fought the war and the woman who loved
him is a story as old as time. As we approach the uncertainties of the
future, it is good to know that this kind of love, faith and dedication does
exist. Yes, I believe it does and, yes, I believe it always will.

The key word here is faith —
faith in God,
faith in country,
faith in each other.
