The Theory of Creativity
By Joseph S. Bonsall
The creative process. Something that exists today that was not here yesterday. A song. A book. A rebuilt kitchen countertop, or even a new recipe for scampi.
All of these things started out with just an idea or a thought that eventually turned into a real and very solid entity. A completed project. A final edit.
Just because someone had the gumption to take another step. Someone nurtured a special desire to go to a new level of thought and process. Someone earmarked some time to actually follow a dream instead of just sitting around moping and hoping that something good might happen.
You see, creation affects our lives in every way imaginable. When someone begins to program their brains hard drive into the positive pattern of I CAN DO THAT and slowly begins to delete the negative opposite, then good things enter their life.
You see, I believe that everyone has the ability and capacity to create. Many of us are just not in tune with the process. Either that, or we have allowed ourselves to sink too far under water in the sea of negativity. It is a murky world down there. Dark and lonely and filled with loathing and self-pity.
You think I am way out there patrolling left field on this one? A little extreme, perhaps? Drifting around the ozone layer?
Then listen up. Swim on up to the surface with me and lets begin a marathon of sheer wonder and life-altering excitement. Lets explore the creative process and see if we can apply some of the theory to our everyday lives.
Lets start at the beginning. The Beginning. When God are you ready? CREATED....... the Heavens and the Earth.
By the way, I do believe in the Bible. And I do believe that God created all of this from scratch because He had the power to do so. After all, He IS God.
I find this theory a whole lot easier to swallow than evolution. Besides, as George Carlin says, If man came from monkeys and apes, why are there STILL
monkeys and apes?
Sorry, Mr. Darwin, although the Galapagos Islands look really cool on the
Discovery Channel, it just doesnt wash! I love those big turtles, though.
For the record, I do not believe in predestination either. That old philosophy undermines the whole creative process and makes us weak.
